MemoryString is a free Mac slideshow app with an MCP server built in. Localhost only, default port 18765, off until enabled. Copy Client Config into Cursor. While the app is open, the agent can import a folder, Keep Best Shots, Auto Trim, change Looks, and export an MP4. Close the app and the server is gone. Not an npx install.
This config will be passed to Cursor on install. Inspect `command`, `args`, and `env` before continuing.
MemoryString ships its MCP server inside the Mac app — there is no npx package to install.
Setup:
1. Install MemoryString (free) from the Mac App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/memorystring/id6806579257?mt=12
2. Open the app and enable the MCP server (off by default). It listens on localhost only, default port 18765.
3. Copy the Client Config shown in the app into your Cursor MCP configuration.
While the app is open, the agent can import a folder, run Keep Best Shots, run Auto Trim, change Looks, and export an MP4. Close the app and the server is gone.
